I hope you all had a good weekend!
Without work or university and with all my friends already leaving for other cities and countries, I’ve had to find my own reasons for leaving my room. On Sunday there was the Craft Market, the last one I’ll be in town for, so I went to look at that and stopped to chat with one or two sellers I’ve gotten to know. I didn’t buy anything this time, but I still have my previous purchases.

I had a lovely lunch in a local café (which has the best banana milkshakes, I must admit). I got my book out and started writing. I’ve been going back to my pre-university writing habits recently. I’ve written nine pages since Friday. Nine pages in four days. In comparison, I wrote four pages in March and April put together. Consistent, I am not.
Starting again after so long can be difficult. I have to go back looking for things I’ve forgotten, like what did I call these people, are these two characters on good terms, why did they do that, and so on.
All in all, it’s nice to be writing again. Not that I haven’t been writing in three years, but not like this. I know as I write that everything I’m writing is terrible and some of these characters shouldn’t be here and there’s a big plothole in the middle of this scene. I’ll rewrite it all eventually, but for now I’m just trying to get the words out of my head and onto the paper. It feels good.
